NISHI NIPPON RAILROAD (translated: Western Japanese Railway Company), with its headquarters in Fukuoka, is a long-established transport company which was formed in 1908 through the merger of several small railway companies. In the course of the last century it has developed into a leading provider of transportation services.
Today, more than 90 different firms belong to this group whose wide-ranging activities cover areas like public transport (railway, bus etc.), logistics, real estate and leisure parks.
In 1948, NNR founded NNR NISHITETSU AIRCARGO SERVICE, thereby becoming the first Japanese air freight forwarder in a rapidly developing market.
To indicate the worldwide scope of activities at first glance the company name was changed to NNR GLOBAL LOGISTICS.
Activities expanded quickly to include sea freight and today NNR GLOBAL LOGISTICS has well over 40 offices in Japan, its own logistics centres and a worldwide network of branches and partners, making it a provider who develops complete logistic solutions.
NNR GLOBAL LOGISTICS is one of the oldest Japanese freight forwarders and one of the Top Five in Japan.
